Reverend Ricky Lyle, Associate Pastor
Our congregation is blessed to have our Rev. Lyle as our associate pastor, specializing in youth ministries. He is a 1999 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, where he received double Masters of Arts degrees in Christian Education and Biblical Studies. He was ordained as PCUSA minister of Word and Sacrament in February of 2009. He has served our congregation as youth minister since 2000. He is married to Holly and they have three children.

Anita Warmath, Administrative Assistant
Anita has served as administrative assistant since 2007. She came to First Presbyterian with several years of office experience. She has been a member since 1996 having served on our Fellowship committee and been active in the Presbyterian Women's Circle. She and her husband Roger have two children, David and Lori, and are expecting their first grand-child soon.

Ron Goforth, Choir Director
Ron has been on the church’s staff as
Choir Director since 1987. He received his B.S. degree in Music
Education from the Univ. of Tennessee at Martin and later earned his
masters degree in Music Education from the Univ. of Mississippi. Ron worked as a high school music teacher and band director for ten
years and now owns a cable TV station in Ripley, TN. He and his wife Cynthia have been married
since 1977 and have four
daughters - Carrie, Amy, Jennifer, and Jessica - and appreciate the
joys of grand-parenting. Ron is a leader in several community and
civic organizations. He enjoys golf, boating, and .
. . “being with my grandchildren.”

Eddie Mack Owen, Organist
Eddie
Mack has been church organist since 1985. He is a graduate of
Byars-Hall High School and studied electrical engineering at State
Tech-nical Institute, Memphis. Eddie Mack now works as Information
Technology Manager at the Delfield Company in Covington. He has
played musical instruments since the fourth grade, studied organ in
high school (and for many years since then), and has been in multiple
popular local country and rock bands. Eddie Mack played trumpet
in the 101st
Air-borne Band touring in Vietnam in 1967-1968, and after his Vietnam
service, he played in the 72nd
Army Band in California. For fun, Eddie Mack cooks, rides his
Harley-Davidson, and ‘hangs out’ with Jan, his wife of 32 years.
Sherrie Yarbro, Pianist
Prior to joining our staff in 2004 as church
pianist, Sherrie played the piano at Brighton Baptist Church for 22
years. She earned a BA in Criminal Justice from UT Martin and
has completed masters-level classes in education. Sherrie works at
the Tipton County Board of Education as Director of School Health
Programs. She and her husband Jeff have three children, Tyler, Hannah and
Rylee. She serves as chair of the Tipton County Foster
Care Review Board, co-chair of the Tipton County Community Health
Council, and group leader on the Tipton County Drug Coalition.
Sherrie is also active in the Covington Gridiron Club and Diamond
Club. She likes attending her children’s athletic activities,
going to the beach, and fishing.



Reverend Doctor Scott Sealy, Senior Pastor
Scott Sealy was called by our congregation and began his ministry with us on November 30, 2009. A graduate of Jacksonville State University, Scott received his MDiv from Memphis Theological Seminary. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Memphis
Theological Seminary in 2005 and is pursuing a
PhD in Church History from the University of Glasgow. Scott has previously served as Pastor of the Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Cherokee, AL for eleven years as well as youth minister at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Olive Branch, MS. Beyond the local
congregation Scott has served on denominational committees, taught in various
capacities, and written articles and Sunday School literature,
including The Present Word for Summer 2007. He enjoys
reading (nerdy stuff), music (currently rediscovering The Clash), computers, and hiking. He and his wife Robin have a daughter and a son.
