Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let
us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage
one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Encourage each other through the challenges of our lives, and
build relationships on the foundation of Jesus Christ, through whom we learn love,
sacrifice, purity, and holiness
If you have come to this page then you are either a student or parent who would
like to know about the youth ministry at First Presbyterian Church. Either way you
want information and I am more than happy to give it to you.
Our student ministry is not an offshoot of the church or a private club but a place
for students to learn about and commit themselves to the overall vision of the church
and incorporate themselves into the life of the church.
My prayer for each student is that church will not be a place of dread or boredom
but a central part of their lives. That it will be more than a building but a living
reality of God’s presence and love and where they find true life.
Why
do we have a student ministry at FPC?
The passage to the left says it all; we meet together to learn more about our faith
and grow into it, encourage each other through the challenges of our lives, and build
relationships on the foundation of Jesus Christ, through whom we learn love, sacrifice,
purity, and holiness.
What
does this look like in our student ministry?
Because Jesus is Lord over all of our lives we follow Him in a variety of ways and
purposes together:
- We offer events and gatherings in which we invite others to join us in our journey
of faith.
- Through Bible studies and retreats we seek to follow Him more closely in discipleship.
- We respond to the example and call of Jesus to go into the world sharing the Good
News through mission trips.
- And we make a priority of coming together to focus our lives on God and celebrate
Who He is and what He is doing in our lives through worship.
Who
